Collection: THE "IDES OF MARCH" COLLECTION

In Roman times, the Ides of March was known as a date for paying off debts. ... March 15 was very unlucky for one man a very long time ago. On that date in the year 44 BC Julius Caesar was killed. March 15 may not be unlucky for you, but it was for Julius Caesar.

But the Ides of March has a non-threatening origin story. Kalends, Nones and Ides were ancient markers used to reference dates in relation to lunar phases. Ides simply referred to the first full moon of a given month, which usually fell between the 13th and 15th. In fact, the Ides of March once signified the new year, which meant celebrations and rejoicing.

Today on March 15, 2021 we celebrate the release of our first item in our merch capsule, "The Ultra Black Dad Tee".
